An easy slow cooker recipe for a whole chicken. This is such a simple recipe for something SO good! Serve hot with steamed rice.

I usually use just boneless thighs and sometimes breasts. You can also substitute skinless chicken, for a lower fat version. The sauce is yummy over the rice.

At the suggestion of a Filipino friend, I added one teaspoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. They all loved it. Making it in the slow cooker made it really tender chicken. Thanks for the recipe!
P.S. I used bone in chicken thighs and basically, they were coming off the bone when it was ready.

My family's recipe adds a couple squirts of ketchup and a few bay leaves to it...it is really good that way.
