Simple Creamed Spinach

This is so easy to make and it's really tasty...Adapted from a Martha Stewart recipe with a few small changes to suit our taste.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 boxes frozen spinach, thawed and drained of all liquid shopping list
- 2 tbls. butter shopping list
- 1 small onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- Pinch of red pepper flakes shopping list
- 4 oz. cream cheese, cut into pieces shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- pinch ground nutmeg shopping list
How to make it
- In skillet, heat butter over medium heat
- Add onion, garlic and red pepper flakes; season with salt and pepper
- Cook until tender
- Add cream cheese and milk; cook, stirring, until cream cheese is melted and smooth
- Stir in spinach to combine
- Simmer over medium heat until mixture thickens
- Add nutmeg; season with salt and pepper
