How to make it

  • 1. Brown ground beef in dutch oven over medium heat. Add onions, celery and carrots and the garlic. Cook 10 -12 minutes until the veggies are tender
  • 2. Add chicken broth, worcestershire sauce, red pepper sauce and salt & pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  • 3. Meanwhile, butter or margarine in small saucepan: stir in flour. Cook over medium high heat until deep brown. Whisk into soup, cover and simmer 15 minutes more.

    I like using crushed tomatoes as they have less sodium.
