"steak" Soup

- 11/2 pounds lean ground beef shopping list
- 2 cups diced onions shopping list
- 1 cup each of diced celery and carrots shopping list
- 1 tbs. mined garlic shopping list
- 3 cans chicken broth shopping list
- 1 (16 oz) ca crushed tomatoes shopping list
- 2 tbs. worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 tsp red pepper sauce shopping list
- salt & pepper to taste shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Brown ground beef in dutch oven over medium heat. Add onions, celery and carrots and the garlic. Cook 10 -12 minutes until the veggies are tender
- 2. Add chicken broth, worcestershire sauce, red pepper sauce and salt & pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
- 3. Meanwhile, butter or margarine in small saucepan: stir in flour. Cook over medium high heat until deep brown. Whisk into soup, cover and simmer 15 minutes more.
