Savory Chicken Sausage Patties

- 10 0z ground chicken breast (the lean 99% fat free) shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 tsp coarse kosher salt shopping list
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning (I use Bell's) shopping list
- 1 tsp dried thyme shopping list
- 1 tsp rubbed sage shopping list
- 1 tsp chopped fresh rosemary shopping list
- 1 tsp fennel seeds, crushed shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cayenne shopping list
- 1/2 tsp onion powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp mace shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ground savory shopping list
- salt & pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes shopping list
- cooking spray or 1 tbsp oil shopping list
How to make it
- Place garlic on cutting board and sprinkle with salt. Using the side of a broad knife, grind salt into garlic until it is ground into a paste. (You can also use a mortar and pestle)
- Add to chicken, along with other seasonings, and mix well. Shape into small patties, about 3" across, less than 1/2" thick. (They will not shrink much when cooking)
- Heat oil in skillet over medium high heat. Fry patties, about 3 minutes each side, until golden and cooked through. They are virtually fat free, so don't overcook or they will dry out! Cook just until juices run clear.
- These freeze and reheat nicely.
