How to make it

  • In a bowl beat the sugar, oil, eggs, orange juice, vanilla
  • In another bowl combine the dry ingredients.
  • Mix together apples and nuts
  • Beat wet and dry ingredients together till well blended
  • Stir in apples and nuts
  • Batter will be thick
  • Pour mixture into a well greased and floured bundt pan
  • Bake in middle rack in a preheated 325F oven until a wooden toothpick comes out clean in center.
  • Baking time will be at least over 60 minutes.
  • Cool in pan 15 minutes and carefully turn out to rack to cool completely
  • When cool, drizzle on glaze or dust cake with powdered sugar
  • Glaze:
  • Add enough cream with extract to powdered sugar for a desired glaze consistency.
  • Cake freezes very well
