How to make it

  • In dutch oven, heat oil to 350-375
  • Preheat oven to 225
  • Add beer to mixing bowl
  • Sift flour, salt and paprika
  • Add to beer, whisking until smooth
  • Dredge zucchini sticks in flour
  • Cover in batter
  • In batches, fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side
  • With spider, remove from oil to cooling rack that's been placed over a baking pan
  • Sprinkle with salt
  • Place baking pan in warmed oven in between batches to keep hot
