Steak Bake

- 1 pound steak or stewing beef, cut into mouth size bites shopping list
- 1/4 c all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1 - 2 packages sliced mushrooms or canned shopping list
- 1 medium onion diced shopping list
- 4 cups frozen french cut green beans shopping list
- 1 large can of diced tomatoes, do not drain shopping list
- 4 TBLS molasses shopping list
- 4 TBLS soy sauce, I use the lite one to cut down on salt shopping list
How to make it
- Place meat in large casserole dish, sprinkle with flour and salt and pepper, do not mix. Turn oven on to 350 degrees and without the lid on the casserole dish pop it in the oven while it is preheating for 20 minutes. Remove dish from oven, careful it will be hot, and stir in the rest of the ingredients, mix well. Place it back in the oven with the lid on for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- If you want to change this up a bit you can use cremini or baby bella mushrooms. I also use sirloin steak for company. We love the sauce it makes so if you want to increase the sauce just use equal amounts of the molasses and soy sauce.
- To freeze just pop it in a freezer bag, take it out the night before and heat in a pot on the stove top or in a dish in the microwave.
- This is fantastic served over a baked potatoe with sour cream, or on rice or noodles. Hope you enjoy it.
