Ingredients

How to make it

  • Dump oysters and liquid into a deep 9X13 glass casserole dish.(if the liquid is so much it comes up, over the oysters, drain some off :)
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, season salt and black pepper and mix together.
  • Top with finely crushed crackers.
  • Pour in half and half slowly. This should reach just to the bottom of the crackers, but no more, so, if it seems to be too much, just don't use the full pint! :)
  • Melt butter and then combine with the Old Bay
  • Add coarse cracker crumbs over the top, and drizzle whole thing with the Old Bay butter.
  • Bake at about 375 for 45-60 minutes, until heated through and top is golden brown.

Sorry Keni but decent, fresh oysters are hard to get here and a real treat when we do. All the time I was reading this I was thinking "a shucked oyster, a few drops of lemon juice, a dash of salsa picante & open wide". This would be a great recipe for canned or jarred oysters but with fresh I'm a minimalist. Seems you are spoiled in the oyster department. RJ
