Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine beef, stock, onion, peppers, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, dill, liquid smoke, and chili sauce in slow cooker.
  • Let cook on low about 4-5 hours, until beef is cooked and soup is well heated.
  • Add half and half and the first pound of cheese and stir well. Continue to heat on low or warm(if your low temp boils soups, at this point, then it's okay to continue to heat it on warm)
  • Place a few potato wedges in the bowl, add soup, then garnish with the bacon and fried onions, if using, and the extra cheese.

You really get the cheeseburger flavor! I didn't use the liquid smoke or the jalapenos though. But I added smoky bacon as a topping, and instead of jalapenos I used some diced pickle. The kids loved it, especially the potato wedges!

Yummy soup and taste just like a cheeseburger! The spinach gives it that "lettuce" feel. I couldn't find the potato wedges so I just opted with steak fries. We had a lot of fun eating this and everyone's bowls were licked clean ;) Thanks Keni! More in the IMI ---> Slow Cooker Cheeseburger Soup

Keni, I didn't try this... my kids did. All 3... even the picky one (the boy in the pic) loved it. 8) had no problems at the dinner table tonight. due to my kids aversion to spicey foods, i skipped the peppers and substituted ketchup for the chili sauce.

I just made a really good cheeseburger soup last week but this one looks like it might beat it out! I LOVE the idea with the fries and them being a garnish on top! Super creative ;)
