Kielbasa Kale Tortellini Soup

- 1/2 bunch of kale shopping list
- 1 kielbasa, chopped into bite sized pieces shopping list
- 4-5 cups chicken stock shopping list
- 1 cup carrots, diced shopping list
- 1 onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 bag of frozen tortellini (13 ounces) shopping list
- red pepper flakes shopping list
- black pepper shopping list
- sugar shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Brown the kielbasa.
- 2. Add the kielbasa to a pot with chicken stock, carrots, onion, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
- 3. Let simmer for 15 minutes, meanwhile, bring another pot of water to a boil.
- 4. Add the chopped kale to the soup mixture at the same time that you add the tortellini to the boiling water to cook. Simmer the soup and kale while you cook the tortellini (about 8-10 minutes)
- 5. Taste the soup. Sometimes Kale can be bitter, if it is, add a couple teaspoons of sugar to the soup to counteract the bitterness.
- 6. Serve the soup with the tortellini.
