Easy Tomato Pasta Soup

- 1, 1 lb, 10 oz jar of favorite pasta or tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 empty jar of water or broth of choice ( ex: chicken beef, vege ) shopping list
- 2 cups of chopped ripe small tomatoes shopping list
- 1 Tbs extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 1 Tbs dried basil- or used fresh shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic powder- or mince fresh shopping list
- 1 tsp salt or to taste shopping list
- fresh grated black pepper to taste shopping list
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan or other cheese to taste shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 1/2 cup small thin pasta of choice ( I used the flat thin squares ) shopping list
- Optional : 1 cup cream or half and half shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all soup ingredients except the cream
- Prepare the soup in the stove top pot, slow cooker, pressure cooker or how you like cooking until soup is well heated and pasta is cooked through
- To finish soup stir in enough cream to lighten up soup- if desired
- Serve with a green salad and crusty bread.
