Slow Cooker San Francisco Pork

- 2 tbls. olive oil shopping list
- 6 countyr style pork ribs shopping list
- pepper to taste shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced shopping list
- 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup low sodium chicken broth shopping list
- 2 tbls. packed light brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4-1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes ( i leaned toward the 1//2 tsp.) shopping list
- 1 tbls. cornstarch shopping list
- 1 tbls. cold water shopping list
How to make it
- In skillet, heat oil over medium high heat
- Season ribs on both sides with pepper
- Cook on both sides until golden brown
- Transfer to slow cooker
- Add garlic to skillet and stir constantly until golden
- Add soy sauce, broth, brown sugar and red pepper flakes
- Stir until sugar is dissolved
- Pour over ribs
- Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7hours or until meat is tender Remove ribs from slow cooker to plate
- In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth
- Whisk cornstarch slurry into sauce in slow cooker
- Return ribs to slow cooker
- Turn to high and cook 30 minutes, until sauce is slightly thickened
