Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put the ingredients into a pan and bring to a boil.
  • Cook until a candy thermometer registers 240F (soft-ball stage).
  • Remove from heat, allow to cool until the bottom of the pan is lukewarm.
  • Beat on medium-high speed until it loses it’s shiny appearance.
  • Pour into a greased pan, cut before it cools completely.
  • Chill before serving.

    Sounds like a good recipe to me. For Ponygirl, you can buy maple sugar on the web. Its just sugar that has been processed with maple syrup. And its good!

    "chopped maple sugar"..? what's this and what is 15% cream? Heavy, 1/2 & 1/2 ? I'm looking for a Christmas maple candy to give as gifts, but am not sure what these are.

    Oh, good heavens does this sound good. I think maple is an underutilized flavor and it should make an appearance at the table more often.
