Early Autumn Dutch Cake

- ½ c all purpose flour shopping list
- ½ c whole wheat flour shopping list
- ½ tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- ½ tsp baking soda shopping list
- 3 tbsp brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tbsp butter shopping list
- 2 tbsp applesauce shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- ¼ c buttermilk shopping list
- *** shopping list
- 2 cups peeled sliced cooking apples shopping list
- 1 cup sliced plums shopping list
- 1 cup sliced, peeled peaches shopping list
- 2 tbsp white sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon shopping list
- ¼ tsp ground cloves shopping list
- 2 tbsp butter, melted. shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
- Combine applesauce, egg and buttermilk, add to above.
- Mix together but do not beat!
- Spread into a greased 9” x 13” pan.
- Arrange fruit, overlapping, on top.
- Combine sugar, cinnamon and cloves, sprinkle on top.
- Pour butter evenly over all this.
- Bake at 400F for 35 mins or until fruit is tender.
