How to make it

  • Cream butter, cheese and sugar well
  • Add and blend in eggs and vanilla
  • Combine dry ingredients
  • Beat into creamed mixture to combine well
  • Place batter in a greased and floured oblong baking pan
  • My pan was a 9 x 11 oblong pan but a 9 x 13 or 8 x 12 may do as well
  • Combine blueberries and strawberries
  • Spread over the batter
  • Sprinkle berries with some white and brown sugar and cinnamon
  • Bakie in a 350F oven middle rack and lower heat last 15 minutes to 325F if browning to fast -also cover with foil
  • I took about an hour for my cake to appear set as testing is hard to do with the berries
  • Cool 5-10 minutes and invert cake to serving plate
  • Serve warm or room temp or even chilled with whipped cream, whipped topping or ice cream
  • Either cut pieces or scoop from the pan when warm.
  • We thought the best flavor at room temperature
  • Note: simply slice off any overly browned ends if needed to
  • make cobbler cake look neater

glad you enjoyed it.! When cooled or chilled it should "firm" up more. Thanks for your review!

Delicious but I think it needed a little more time in the oven to set up for me.
