My mom used to make this when I was a kid. It was always my favorite, and is now a favorite for my kids as well. I have not changed her recipe at all, as it is perfect just the way it is.

So glad you liked it. I've used cream of chicken before, too, when I didn't have the cream of mushroom. (it makes a good substitute for almost any recipe that calls for cream of mushroom)
