Ingredients

How to make it

  • 1. Rim a proper glass with salt, if doing that.
  • 2. In a shaker, combine all of the other ingredients, including the ice.
  • 3. Give this lot a good shake and serve.
  • I usually serve this in a basic glass, with a few ice cubes, shades of the cheap Cantina in Ensenada. Go as up market with the glass as you like but the Margarita tastes the same. I only salt the rim of the glass about half the time.
  • I lied. A fancy glass does improve the taste, just a little. See Photo

This is practically the exact recipe I developed on my own too! I always use Cointreau (originally because I couldn't get triple sec here but then because I liked the taste better). And Roses's is the BEST. Just last year I finally broke down and bought 4 Margarita glasses and yes, the ambience definitely improves though the taste is the same... ;)
