How to make it

  • Cook the macaroni in salted boiling water for 6 minutes (I find what they state on the package makes for very mushy pasta, so I cook it for less time); drain quickly into a colander (do not shake the water off, I use it instead of an overload of milk); add the butter, cheese and just a splash of half and half or milk, mix well. Place each serving into a warmed bowl, (or in my case 1 serving the rest went into tupperware for latter use) top with the chopped bacon and some Parmesan cheese. Serve hot.
  • Note: If you like runnier mac n cheese, you can either add additional milk or pasta water.
