White Chocolate And Pecan Nut Tarts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 sheets of shortcrust pastry
  • 100g white cooking chocolate chopped
  • 1/4 c cream
  • 1/4 c icing sugar
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1/3 c pecan nuts,toasted and finely chopped
  • 60g milk chocolate melted

Directions
  1. grease two deep 12 hole patty tins
  2. cut out shortpastry to, and press into the greased pans, prick bases with a fork, and freeze for 20mins
  3. then cook in in a hot oven at 200.c for 10mins or until golden, remove and cool
  4. reduce oven temp to 120.c
  5. meanwhile combine white chocolate, cream and icing sugar in a small heat proof bowl, place over a small pan of simmering water, stirring until choc has melted, remove from heat, cool slightly and whisk in egg until commbinned
  6. divide the nuts and chocolate mixture evenly among pastry cases
  7. bake for 15mins or until lightly browned and set, stand in the pan for 5 mins then transfer to wire rack and cool
  8. drizzle melted milk chocolate over each tart, stand at room temp til set
