Crockpot Jambalaya

- 1 lb breakfast sausage links, cut into bite-sized pieces shopping list
- 1 lb boneless/skinless chicken breasts, cubed shopping list
- 1 cup chicken broth shopping list
- 2 cans stewed tomatoes (original recipe) with juice shopping list
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped into large pieces shopping list
- 1 cup celery, large pieces shopping list
- 1 large onion, chopped into large pieces shopping list
- 2 tsp dried parsley shopping list
- 1 tsp dried thyme shopping list
- 2 tsp dried oregano shopping list
- 2 tsp cajun seasoning shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp paprika shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- pinch red pepper flakes shopping list
How to make it
- Layer chopped fresh veggies on bottom of crockpot to help keep the meat from sticking to the bottom. Next add sausage, then diced chicken, then tomatoes with juice, then dry seasonings. Finally drizzle the chicken stock over all. Cover and cook 3-4 hours on high or 7-8 hours on low. Serve over rice.
