Pan Fried Brussel Sprouts

- 1 box or container of fresh brussel sprouts shopping list
- 1 small onion thin sliced shopping list
- olive oil to stir fry shopping list
- 1 clove of garlic minced shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- Options: juice from a fresh squeezed lemon or a lime shopping list
How to make it
- The most important part of the recipe is to properly cut the brussel sprouts
- So cut each spout in half like a cabbage
- Then slice each half as one would do for coleslaw ( slice in shreds )
- Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat, I used less than 1/4 cup
- First add the sliced onion and then the sprouts
- Toss vegetables to coat with oil
- Continue to cook and stir to get the texture you want- I like tender and slightly crunchy
- Careful not to over cook or let get too soft or soggy
- Add the minced garlic and toss and cook briefly
- Season with salt and pepper to taste
- Now if you wish, add juice from lemon or lime to kick up the flavor f you wish
