Ingredients

How to make it

  • The most important part of the recipe is to properly cut the brussel sprouts
  • So cut each spout in half like a cabbage
  • Then slice each half as one would do for coleslaw ( slice in shreds )
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat, I used less than 1/4 cup
  • First add the sliced onion and then the sprouts
  • Toss vegetables to coat with oil
  • Continue to cook and stir to get the texture you want- I like tender and slightly crunchy
  • Careful not to over cook or let get too soft or soggy
  • Add the minced garlic and toss and cook briefly
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste
  • Now if you wish, add juice from lemon or lime to kick up the flavor f you wish

very nice. I usually brown precooked sprout halves in butter, than add lemon juice, capers and parmesan. I will try out your version, it sounds yummy :)
