How to make it

  • Wet Ingredients

  • In first mixing bowl, cream well the 1 lb Butter and 2 lb Dark Brown Sugar. Add 8 Large Eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each additional egg. Add 2 Cups Sour Cream and blend well.
  • Dry Ingredients

  • In second mixing bowl, sift together 6 Cups All Purpose Flour, 3 tsp Cinnamon, 2 tsp Cloves, 1 tsp Nutmeg, 1 tsp Salt, 2 tsp Baking Soda. Add 3 Cups Raisins and 1 Cup Walnuts and mix until coated well.
  • Christmas Cake

  • Mix Dry Ingredients with Wet Ingredients. Grease and Flour 4 Bread Loaf Pans. Evenly divide Wet/Dry Mixture into 4 pans. Preheat oven to 350 degrees while batter sets. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.
