Vegetable Beef Soup

- 1 lb ground beef shopping list
- 5 cups water shopping list
- 2 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1 clove garlic (I buy the garlic in a bottle that is already chopped ) shopping list
- 1/4 tsp oregano shopping list
- 1/2 tsp basil shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 bay leaves shopping list
- 1/2 tsp parsley flakes shopping list
- a sprinkle of thyme shopping list
- 1 (28 oz) can of tomatoes shopping list
- 1/4 cup rice (Do not add the rice until about 30 minutes before serving) shopping list
- 1 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 beef boullion cube shopping list
- 1 cup each carrots, celery, cubed potatoes, shredded cabbage (optional I don't use it) shopping list
How to make it
- Brown ground beef and onion.
- Drain off the fat.
- Combine all ingredients in a crock pot and let simmer for 4 hours on high or 6 hours on medium. Or you can put ingrients in a large soup pot and simmer for 1 1/2 hours on stove on medium.
- One of the great things about this recipe is you can add any vegetable that you have in the fridge.
