How to make it

  • Cream butter with sugar fluffy
  • Beat in the eggs and vanilla
  • Beat in the coffee dissolved in the water
  • Sift flour and baking powder and salt
  • Beat flour mix into batter
  • Beat in the sour cream to blend
  • Batter will be thick
  • Place batter in a well oiled or buttered 11x7 pan
  • Smooth batter in pan and tap on counter to release any bubbles
  • Bake in a preheated 325F oven about 45 minutes or tested done in center.
  • Cool in pan on rack
  • Meanwhile make icing by beating all ingredients together.
  • Cut pieces from the pan when cold and spoon on the icing
