Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine flour, bran, sugar, salt and soda then mix well.
  • Combine buttermilk, egg, molasses and butter then add all at once to dry ingredients.
  • Stir just enough to moisten flour mixture.
  • Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

    Your welcome. I'm in the same boat, I have always loved bran and molasses even as a kid when bran was considered "old folks" food. I love this recipe and don't make it often enough.

    I am a sucker for molasses. I think I was the only kid, way back all those years, that loved bran muffins too. This sounds like a really good recipe. Thanks for posting!
