From shandy 10 years agoIngredients
- 1 pound ground beef (I use 80/20 for leanness) shopping list
- 1/2 pound ground pork breakfast sausage shopping list
- 1 large egg, slightly beaten shopping list
- 1/3 c. Italian bread crumbs shopping list
- 1/2 c. grated fresh parmesan shopping list
- 1-2 T. fresh minced garlic (1 t. garlic powder, if using instead) shopping list
- 1 t. salt, or to taste shopping list
- 1 t. ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/3 c. milk shopping list
- 1/2 to 1 t. dried oregano shopping list
- 1/4 c. fresh parsley or 2 T. dried parsley shopping list
How to make it
- *Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
- *Shape into small meatballs (you can now place on a baking sheet, wrap, and freeze until ready to use)
- *Drop the meatballs into simmering pasta sauce, do not stir for at least 20 minutes or you will risk breaking the meatballs.
- *Continue cooking in the simmering sauce for another 20 minutes (depending on how fast your sauce is simmering=40 minutes total should fully cook your meatballs.)
- *After the 40 minutes cooking time, continue cooking your sauce with the meatballs in for as long as desired.
