Strawberry Shortcake

A shortcut on traditional strawberry shortcake.
Ingredients
- 4 cups strawberries, sliced if large shopping list
- 2/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups Bisquick shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons margarine, melted shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the first three ingredients and place in an 8" square pan. Then combine the remaining ingredients, stir together, and drop by spoonfuls over the berries. Bake at 450ยบ 30-35 minutes until top is golden Serve with ice cream or whipped cream

This was very good. The berries tasted kinda like jam, to me. I liked the sweet topping. Mine only took 18 minutes to bake, however. I added a picture and a thread in IMI 1/12/14
