How to make it

  • Clean the turkey..or thaw it I prefer freshly taken turkeys
  • rub inside and out with butter
  • rub your favorite spices on thurkey. tie legs and wings as turkey will fall apart after cooking
  • Grill using indirect heat...usually two outside burners on med and middle off.
  • Grill on top of 6 layers of foil and one layer loosely over the top. Grill uninterrupted for at leat 75 minutes before checking temp...when internal temp is 180 shes ready.

    I love this idea! It keeps the oven free for all the side dishes! How long do you think it would take to grill a 20 lb. turkey?

    I have smoked turkeys on my grill several times..once for Thanksgiving, even! I seriously suggest everyone try this just once...grilled turkey is amazing. Good post!
