How to make it

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 450°F and grease a baking sheet.
  • 2. Mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut the butter into the dry ingredients using a pastry blender or your hands, until the mixture looks like coarse crumbles.
  • 3. Stir in the milk to form a batter.
  • 4. Drop rounded (heaping) tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes, until the biscuits are golden.
  • 5. Serve warm.

    eastcoaster ate it and said...
    These are good biscuits. I had to change a couple of things((lactose intolerant) I used Earth Balance in place of butter and lactose free milk.I found the dough did not drop well on the cookie sheet so i just formed them in to balls.
    They came out kind of crusty on the out side but nice and flaky on the inside.I got 12 biscuits and they took 20 minutes to bake.They did not rise very well but they were still tasty.
    Will make again.
