These are good biscuits,i did change a couple of things(lactose intolerance) I used Earth Balance in place of butter, and lactose free milk. Crusty on the outside, flaky on the inside.
Took 20 minutes to bake. Review on recipe:Gluten Free Biscuits

Hi Manella; I actually have a bag of GF flour sitting in the cupboard. Plan is to experiment on some breads and cakes so that when I am with my sisters I can do a special treat for two who are having issues with gluten. Thank you for pointing out this recipe. Hope to try it today.

Did they get a good rise like regular biscuits?
I love Earth Balance butter, I only buy the EB buttery sticks now and prefer it to regular butter in my baking! :D

Sorry, i shall go put it in my review, no Cosmicmother they did not rise very well but they were still tasty.
I use Earth balance for things that call for butter, i will have to look for the buttery sticks.
It is getting expensive now, Sobey's put the price up to $5.49, Superstore is $4.69.
I do use coconut oil also for frying. Esp. pork chops, nice flavor..

Regular butter is super pricey now a days too. I use to only buy cultured butter but it's too expensive now. The buttery sticks come in the same 1lb pkg as regular butter and might only cost a few cents more, but it was cheaper than some of the name brand unsalted butters. All the regular grocery stores I go to carry it next to the regular butter, but I haven't seen the EB buttery sticks at Superstore only the tubs for some reason?

Regular butter is very pricey, i buy it on sale because my husband likes it on certain foods. He will use the earth balance but does like butter better:))))

Check and compare the price of heavy whipping cream to your butter prices. You can make your own butter pretty durn quick in a food processor using this Butter recipe. The recipe makes two sticks of butter which is a cup.

Hello Points, thank you very much for the recipe for butter, saved and will try it out.
    Much appreciated.

Mommyluvs2cook, they did turn out well even though they did not rise that much. It could be the humidity also.

Love the sound of that Mac and cheese Manella! Could I just use the canned coconut milk? I always have some on hand :)

HI Mommyluvs2cook, i don't see why you couldn't use canned coconut milk. Wouldn't it just make the dish creamier? I think i just might buy some in town today and try it out, thanks for the idea.
