I remember going to The Bucket Shop in Saint Joseph, Mo back in the 1980's and early 1990's.They had the best food ever.These Beef Burgers were popular around Missouri.My understanding that most of Kansas would come over to Missouri to go to The Bucket Shop. Ingredients
- 3 pounds ground beef shopping list
- 1 to 2 large onions, chopped shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 1 pound brick chili shopping list
- 1 tablespoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 tablespoon black pepper shopping list
- yellow mustard, to your liking (optional) shopping list
- ketchup to your liking shopping list
- 2 packages hot dog buns shopping list
How to make it
- Cook ground beef and onion in water.Drain and add the remaining ingredients but the hot dog buns.Cook thoroughly.Serve on an open hot dog bun.Could serve on hamburger buns.

For the chili I use one seitz chili brick and one can of castleberrys hot dog sauce I also put a little seasoning salt and mustard in my hamburger when cooking it.
