Strawberry Streusel Muffins

- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 large egg, beaten shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1 1/4 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
- 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries shopping list
- Streusel Topping shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped blanched almonds, toasted shopping list
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
How to make it
- Combine flour, baking powder. salt and sugar in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture.
- Combine egg, milk, butter and almond extract; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
- Fold in strawberries.
- Spoon batter in paper-lioned muffin pan, filling 3/4 full.
- Sprinkle Streusel Topping eveninly over batter.
- Bake @ 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes.
- remove from pan, and let cool completely on wire rack.
- Streusel Topping
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl: stir well.
