How to make it

  • Boil chopped cabbage until bright green and a little tender (about 10 minutes)
  • Meanwhile, wilt onions in butter in a frying pan. Add in the soup and chunks of cheese until melted.
  • Combine the "sauce" with the cabbage and add bread crumbs to desired consistency and salt and pepper.
  • Put in a 9 x 13 pan and sprinkle bread crumbs on top.
  • Bake at 350 until the edges start to brown.
