Chicken And Dumpling Dinner

- Chicken: shopping list
- 1(2 lb) chicken cut into eight pieces shopping list
- 3 celery sticks chopped FINELY shopping list
- 1 large onion chopped FINELY shopping list
- 2 bay leaves shopping list
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes shopping list
- 1 tsp house seasoning shopping list
- 1( 10 oz) can of cream of chicken soup shopping list
- Dumplings: shopping list
- 2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- Ice water shopping list
- House seasoning: shopping list
- 1 cup salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 cup garlic powder shopping list
- 2 tsp parsley flakes shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Place the chicken, bay leaves, celery, onion, bouillon, and house seasoning in a large pot. Add 4 quarts of water and bring to a simmer. simmer for about 40 minutes.
- 2. Remove chicken from the pot. When it is cool enough, remove the skin and bones. put the chicken meat back in the pot.
- 3. Mix your flour and your salt in a large bowl. Slowly add 3/4 cups of water to the mixture, kneading the dough the whole time. roll into a ball.
- 4. Dust flour onto a work surface, and roll out your dough. allow it to breath.
- 5. Add the cream of Chicken soup to the pot of chicken and vegetables. Simmer.
- 6. Cut the dough into 1 inch pieces, and drop into the simmering soup. do not stir, but gently turn the pot in circles. Cook until the dumplings float.
- 7. Serve with the vegetables and soup left in the pot!
