Ingredients
  • * 1 cup salt
  • * 2 cups flour
  • * 1 cup water

Directions
  1. To make gingerbread boy: Mix salt and flour together. Then add water gradually. Knead 7-10 minutes until dough is smooth and putty-like.
  2. Roll dough about ¼-inch thick, then use gingerbread boy cookie cutter to cut basic shape.
  3. Roll small pieces of dough for eyes, cheeks, etc. and simply moisten with water to attach. Poke hole at the top for the thread. Then bake on cookie sheet at 325° F til light brown (or let air dry 48 hours on a window screen).
  4. When cool varnish to protect from moisture, or paint any color you like. Then just hang on tree... and enjoy the compliments.

My kids had a blast painting these decorations

Good morning, This sounds really good. Another thing to add to my craft repetoire. I could use beads to decorate. But with plastic, I would have to air dry. Thank you for posting. You deserve a 5. Have a wonderful day...Cheryl
