Buffalo Wings
From chuckieb 8 years agoIngredients
- 12 whole chicken wings, (split into two pieces so 24 total) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper shopping list
- 3/4 cup plus 1 tbsp.(divided) Buffalo wing sauce shopping list
- 1 tbsp. veg. oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
How to make it
- Line a rimmed baking sheet (I used a cookie sheet) with foil. Set a wire rack (I used the one from my broiling pan) on the baking sheet.
- Place the pepper, 1 tbsp. of the wing sauce, and the vegetable oil in a resealable plastic bag and shake to mix.
- Add the chicken wings, seal, and toss until well coated.
- Put the flour, cayenne pepper and garlic powder in another resealable plastic bag and shake to mix.
- Pour the chicken wings from the first bag into the bag with the flour mixture and toss well until coated.
- Place the wings onto the baking sheet rack and put into the refrigerator for at least an hour.
- Preheat oven to 400C.
- Take the wings out of the fridge and dip them into the remaining 3/4 cup of Buffalo wing sauce one at a time and place back on the baking sheet rack.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the chicken is no longer pink in the center and is crispy on the outside, about one hour.
- Turn the wings over halfway during cooking so they cook evenly.
- Drizzle with more Wing sauce when serving if you desire.
- Enjoy!
