How to make it

  • Combine water and sugar, stir until dissolved.
  • Add yeast, stir gently.
  • Let set 5 minutes.
  • Add salt and flour.
  • Knead for 10 minutes.
  • Cover with a lightly damp cloth, place in warm area to rise for 30 minutes.
  • Divide into 3 equal sections.
  • Knead each section into a tight ball.
  • Pinching the bottom and seal with a twist.
  • Place each ball into a 6 inch spring form pan.
  • Score tops.
  • Sprinkle with salt, optional.
  • Spray lightly with water.
  • Allow to rise again for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.
  • Place in oven.
  • After 2, yes I mean two, minutes, spray again with the water.
  • Turn oven down to 425 Degrees F.
  • Bake for 18 minutes.
  • Take out of oven, allowing them to cool for a few minutes.
  • Cut top off for a cover.
  • Cut out soft inside bread, place on plate to eat with soup.
  • Fill with favorite soup, eat and enjoy!
