Mediterranean Leeks With Lemon

- 60ml/4tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil shopping list
- 3 cloves Garlic - finely chopped shopping list
- 1kg/2lb Leeks - White parts - finely chopped shopping list
- 1tbsp Sugar shopping list
- 1 Lemon - Juice only shopping list
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oil in a large frying pan on medium low heat;
- Add garlic and sugar and sauté, stirring, until slightly caramelised;
- Stir in the Leeks and sauté for some 10 minutes or so, or until slightly browned;
- Drizzle with lemon juice and season with salt and pepper;
- Cover and cook on very low heat for some 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.
- Serve

I made this recipe many times and it is a very nice side dish. Easy to make and very tasty.It's very good with chicken. YUM!!
