How to make it

  • 1. Clean chicken inside and out. Dry.
  • 2. Rub olive oil over chicken, inside & out
  • 3. In bowl mix all seasoning
  • 4. Spray crockpot with cooking spray
  • 5. Put aluminum balls over bottom, to act as a rack
  • 6. Rub seasoning mix all over inside and outside. Put some under skin of chicken breast
  • 7. Put carrots inside cavity.
  • 8. Cook 6-7 hours till chicken is cooked or falls apart
  • 9. Carefully remove chicken when done.
  • 10. Drain juice in pot and make your gravy.
  • DO NOT ADD ANY LIQUID WHEN COOKING CHICKEN,
  • optional: instead of aluminum balls, cut up onion into 1/2" slices and place chicken on top of them.

    Very good recipe. My kitchen and house smelled amazing all day. Couldn't wait to dive in. Chicken was incredibly moist and fell off the bone, but not too much, was able to get whole pieces but didn't even need a knife. Kind of surprising how much liquid ends up in crockpot especially without putting any in., Makes nice gravy. I used onions as a base instead of aluminum foil, worked well.
