- 4 eggs, beaten to a lemony color shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 2 teaspoons melted butter shopping list
- 1-8 ounce milk chocolate bar (I recommend using a Hershey's milk chocolate bar) shopping list
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (use one that is a bit on the "sweet"side) shopping list
How to make it
- Use a baking sheet or cookie sheet that has sides.
- Lightly grease or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- Set aside.
- In a bowl, mix eggs, vanilla and salt.
- Add sugar.
- In a bowl, sift flour and baking poweder together.
- Add flour mixture alternated with milk to egg mixture.
- Add butter.
- Spread batter onto the cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
- Be VERY careful not to OVER BAKE!
- This layer should have a moist cake-texture.
- Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Spread with peanut butter while cake is still warm.
- Continue cooling on a wire rack, and then refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Melt chocolate in a double boiler.
- Spread melted chocolate over peanut butter.
- Refrigerate again to cool and set chocolate.
- Cut into 2-inch to 2 1/2-inch squares.
- Best if stored in the refrigerator.
