Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a bowl add the hard bread and allow it to soak it in the broth. Squeeze out the extra both and reserve for later.
  • Combine all the ingredients in the bowl except the butter and the additional broth.
  • Put the mix into a baking pan. Flatten the top with a spoon. Add about 1/2 cup of the reserved broth to it. Just enough so if you lean the pan to the side you can see a little broth.
  • Cover with foil. Put the pan in a preheated 350 degree oven until the broth at the bottom comes to a boil.
  • Remove the foil brush the top with the melted butter and bake until the top is crispy. Allow to rest and serve.

This looks wonderful. Do you know, I've never had stuffing (we call it dressing) with sausage in it. I'd love to try it. That sounds delicious.

Hi BA, love the look of that -- must try with next chicken -- not a turkey fan.
Bit more involved than the traditional Scot's one. Have a great weekend. Take care --- rib healing!! ??
I take it you'll be having spare ribs next week.
    cheers
