How to make it

  • In a large crock pot, melt butter on low heat
  • Sauté the onions until soft
  • Add the sugar
  • Add only 2/3 of the chopped mushrooms
  • Add flour, chicken broth and vermouth
  • Simmer for approximately 2 hours
  • Add remaining mushrooms upon serving
  • Serve with fresh buns for dipping
