How to make it

  • 1. Heat olive oil in frying pan, add roast and season with seasoning 1 on both sides, brown each side.
  • 2. Spray crock pot and put in browned roast
  • 3. Add chopped vegetables
  • 4. Add onion mix, au jus mix and 1/2 of brown gravy mix
  • 5. Add water, broth and wine
  • 6. Add seasoning 2
  • 7. Cook 6 hours total
  • 8. Remove vegetables when they become tender to plate, set aside
  • 9. Remove meat at 5 hours
  • 10. With water, mix balance of gravy mix to thicken sauce in pot. Add to pot and stir
  • 11. Cut up meat and return to pot along with vegetable and lower temperature to warm

    Nice flavor combo and a Crock Pot is the way to go. Rather than removing the veggies, try letting the meat cook with all the other ingredients, for about three hours and then add the veggies. You did know how to cook it. Thanks for the post.
