White Castle Burger Copycat By Athriftymom

- 1 pound Hamburger – 80/20 is best shopping list
- 2/3 cup Onion – finely chopped shopping list
- 1 teaspoon Salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/4 cup plain bread crumbs shopping list
- 1 package Dinner Rolls shopping list
- grated cheese to taste (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Mix hamburger in bowl with black pepper, bread crumbs and eggs.
- Thoroughly mix meat.
- Finely chop onion and spread evenly over 13×9 baking pan.
- Spoon portions of hamburger on top of onions. Evenly spoon meat around top of onions. Pat meat evenly on top of onions to cover entire pan. Then with straws poke holes close and evenly over entire meat. This allows the onion juice to rise through the meat, just as they do at White Castle.
- Place in pre-heated oven at 400 F (bake) for 20 mins
- Remove to add cheese if you want it- Place back in oven till cheese is melted – about 1-2 mins
- Remove and cut into squares the size of your rolls
