The Spicy Mini Burger

- 15g/½oz butter shopping list
- 2 to 3tbsp Sunflower Oil - for frying shopping list
- 400g/14oz Mixta - beef/Pork - Mince shopping list
- 45g/1½oz Pancetta or Bacon - finely chopped into strips shopping list
- 1 clove Garlic - finely chopped shopping list
- 4tbsp Red Onion - finely chopped shopping list
- 3tsp fresh Ginger - finely grated shopping list
- 1½ to 3 - Jalapeño Chillies - finely chopped with seeds - to taste for heat shopping list
- 1tsp ground Coriander/Cilantro shopping list
- ¾tsp Smoked Paprika or Sweet Paprika shopping list
- ½tsp Garam Masala shopping list
- ½tsp ground Turmeric shopping list
- ½tsp Salt shopping list
- ¼tsp ground Cumin shopping list
- Garnish: 1 to 2tbsp fresh Coriander - chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Apart from the Butter, oil and garnish, mix all ingredients together, season to taste and shape into mini - burgers about 2½in/6cm in diameter
- Place on shallow tray, cover with cling film and chill in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes before cooking;
- COOKING
- 1. Brush with a little oil and BBQ/Grill on a medium/high heat, turning as required, until meat is just cooked through with the juices running freely and clearly.
- 2. Melt butter and heat oil in frying pan, add the burgers and cook on medium heat as above;
- Serve with garnish on each
