How to make it

  • PREPARE TOPPING BY RUBBING TOGETHER FLOUR AND BUTTER TILL IT RESEMBLES BREADCRUMBS. ADD SUGAR AND MIX WELL. PUT TO ONE SIDE.
  • CREAM THE BUTTER AND EGG TOGETHER, ADDING THE FLOUR TO MAKE A PASTRY
  • ROLL OUT AND CUT INTO ROUNDS PLACING THEM IN INDIVIDUAL SMALL BAKING TINS.
  • PEEL AND CHOP THE APPLE INTO TINY PIECES AND ADD THIS TO THE MINCEMEAT
  • PLACE A SPOONFUL OF THE MINCEMEAT MIXTURE INTO EACH PASTRY CASE
  • THEN TOP EACH TART WITH THE CRUMBLE MIX.
  • THIS MAKES A DELICIOUS AND TANGY MINCE TART
