Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix all of the meatball ingredients together except the olive oil. Shape them into half-inch meatballs. I got about 24 meatballs. Put them on a sheet pan and drizzle them with olive oil. Bake the meatballs for about 20-25 minutes or until they are done and browned.
  • Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large ovenproof skillet and drizzle in a little olive oil. Cook the mushrooms and shallot over medium high heat until the mushrooms are tender. Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and stir. Pour in the half and half and stir until smooth. Bring the sauce to a boil. Add in Worcestershire sauce, Monterey cheese, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook and stir until thickened, about 1 - 2 minutes. Remove from the heat.
  • Turn the broiler on. Stir the meatballs into the sauce. Sprinkle the shredded Parmesan cheese over the top. Put the skillet under the broiler and broil for a couple of minutes to melt and brown the cheese. Serve with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
