Swedish Sticky Chocolate Cake (kladdkaka)
From Hinchess 7 years agoIngredients
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder shopping list
- 1 pinch salt shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/3 cups white sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter, melted shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8-inch pie plate. (Or use parchment paper.)
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt; set aside. (Beat the eggs.) Stir the eggs into the sugar until smooth. Add the flour mixture, and stir just until combined. Pour in the vanilla extract and butter; stir until well combined. ( Do not beat or overmix.) Pour into prepared pie plate.
- Bake on the lower rack of the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the center has slightly set. Allow cake to cool for 1 hour in the pie plate. Serve warm, or refrigerate overnight and serve cold. (If you want them more brownie-like, bake in center at 350 for 35 minutes. Or bake at 300 for a few minutes longer. You may need to experiment to find how you like it. But it should be gooey, sticky.)
