French Toast

- 3 large eggs shopping list
- 180 milk shopping list
- pinch of salt and pepper shopping list
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon shopping list
- 8 slices of good quality, day old bread shopping list
- butter for frying shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, vanilla extract and ground cinnamon.
- Dip both sides of each slice of bread into the egg mixture.
- In a large non-stick frying pan, over medium to medium-high heat, melt about one tablespoon of butter.
- Fry the slices of bread until golden brown on one side and then turn and fry the other side.
- Continue with the rest, adding more butter as needed.
- Serve immediately with a dusting of powdered sugar and pure maple syrup.
- TIP: Alternatively, you can add a baby spoon of whipped butter on top of the yummy hot toast.
