Spiced Peaches & Cranberries Sauté

- 1 can of peaches, plus about 1-2 Tbsps of the syrup (I got mine from dollar tree) shopping list
- 1/2 cup of dried cranberries (I got that from dollar tree too lol) shopping list
- ½ tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 tsp of each: ground cinnamon, cloves, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, and cardamom if you have it. shopping list
- 1 Tbsp coconut oil for sautéing shopping list
- 1-2 lime wedges: not only for decoration, the acid gives this dish a crisp and nuanced flavor profile, I'm gonna go ahead and say it isn't optional. (Unless you're allergic to citrus) shopping list
How to make it
- Heat the coconut oil over medium flame.
- Put the peaches in before it gets too hot or you'll have oil spraying and sizzling everywhere. (Ask me how I know)
- Add the cranberries, let cook for 2-3 minutes before adding the syrup and stuff.
- Add the vanilla extract and date syrup, then spices.
- Let cook an additional 5-6 minutes while stirring and flipping occasionally to keep the peaches from burning. Make sure everything is mixed.
- Remove from heat, squeeze lime over it and mix once again. Enjoy warm, and try to get like bread or tortilla to soak up the syrup when the peaches are gone cos it's delicious asf. 😋🥰
